The Hong Kong Palace Museum presents over 900 priceless treasures from the Palace Museum. Many of them are on display in Hong Kong for the first time, while others have never been shown to the public before. The Museum regularly presents special exhibitions featuring Chinese art and culture, as well as art and treasures from other parts of the world.

Circular Route Bus
This complimentary bus service is a circular route that operates daily from 9am to 8:30pm (every 20 minutes) between MTR Austin Station Exit D/ High Speed Rail Hong Kong West Kowloon Station Exit J (near Xiqu Centre), M+, the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the west entrance of the District (Western Harbour Crossing Toll Plaza bus stop).

By MTR
Take the Tung Chung Line or Airport Express to Kowloon Station. Leave from Exit E4 or E5 and walk along Nga Cheung Road to the footbridge. Cross the footbridge to enter the West Kowloon Cultural District and walk to the Museum. Alternatively, you can take the minibus CX1 from Exit E to the Museum.

You can also leave from Exit C1 or D1 of Kowloon Station and follow signs to the Artist Square Bridge through ELEMENTS on 2/F, Metal Zone. Cross the Artist Square Bridge to reach the West Kowloon Cultural District (approximately 10 minutes).

Take the Tuen Ma Line to Austin Station. Leave from Exit D and take the free shuttle bus (departing every 20 minutes) towards the District. You can also leave from Exit B4 or B5 and walk to the West Kowloon Cultural District via ELEMENTS (approximately 20 minutes).

By taxi or car
Ask your driver to head to the roundabout at Nga Cheung Road and Austin Road West to Museum Drive. Pass the first traffic light and continue straight ahead until you see the Museum building on your left. There is a designated pick-up and drop-off area at the LG entrance

You may also show your taxi driver the address in Chinese: “香港九龍西九文化區博物館道8號香港故宮文化博物館”

Hong Kong Water Taxi
The water taxi service operates a circular route every Saturday, starting from Tsim Sha Tsui East, with calling points at Wan Chai, Central and West Kowloon (Yau Ma Tei Typhoon Shelter Landing No. 2).

The service will operate daily during the 2023 Chinese New Year period (22 January – 5 February).

Hourly parking
Parking is available at the Hong Kong Palace Museum Car Park, which is accessible from the driveway to our pick-up and drop-off area at 8 Museum Drive. You may also park at the Car Park near the M+ Car Park and at the Art Park Car Park.

On-street parking is not available in the West Kowloon Cultural District.
